A
series of journeys through Spain in search of the strangest and most emblematic
fiestas. Each chapter corresponds to a geographical area and, after a general
introduction, delves into the cities and towns of the region to show us their
traditional celebrations, the colour of the floats, the burst of joy
from
religious holidays to age-old rituals; from internationally famous fiestas,
such as the Moors and Christians in Alcoy (Alicante) and the April Fair in Seville,
to other, lesser-known local traditions, such as the Dansa de la Mort in Verges
(Girona) or the Cipotegato in Tarragona (Zaragoza).
